Kiren Rijiju is an Indian lawyer and politician from Arunachal Pradesh and is the current Minister of Law and Justice of India. He served as a Member of Khadi and Village Industries Commission from 2000 to 2005 at the very young age of 29. Rijiju was appointed as India’s Minister of State (Independent Charge) of Youth Affairs and Sports and Minister of State for Home Affairs. Mr. Rijiju received his BA (Hons) from Hansraj College of Delhi University and a graduate degree in law (L.L.B) from the Centre of Faculty of Law, Delhi University. He was recently designated by the United Nations as Disaster Risk Champion for Asia Pacific Region because of his work in the area of Disaster Management, the First Indian to be conferred with this Honour.
